About Future Pathways

Future Pathways is a free website for school students in India and their parents. It brings together clear, friendly guides on five things:

  • Careers: What a career is, how to get into it and what to study.
  • Internships & Opportunities: Internships, summer programmes, competitions and webinars, with deadlines.
  • Courses: Degree courses and where they lead.
  • Countries: Studying in another country: costs, tests, visas and scholarships.
  • Universities: One university at a time: entry rules, fees, dates and what parents should know.

It also has the Career Roadmaps tool, which maps modern roles to the school subjects to keep, the Indian degrees and the entrance exams, and an Upcoming Deadlines page.

Who runs it

I am Madan Kumar PC, a career counsellor in Tamil Nadu, India: CAP Accredited Counsellor and International Certified Career Coach (ICCC), with more than ten years in education after a first career in IT consulting. I built this site and I write and check the posts. Every post names who wrote it, who checked the facts, and when.

Counsellors answer the same questions many times over. Writing the answers down once, in one trusted place, means every student gets the same quality of information, and parents can read it at home. More about my work is on my portfolio site.

How to use it

  • Use the search box to look for a career, a course, a test, a university or a country.
  • Not sure where to start? Go to Start here by grade.
  • Choosing subjects? Open the Career Roadmaps.
  • Every post has a short For Parents box near the top.
  • Tap Save on any post to keep it in My Saved Posts on this device.
  • Check Upcoming Deadlines so you never miss an application date.
